The Solid Iris Technologies team is pleased to announce the availability of Thea Render 2.2.954.1860 for SketchUp is the most versatile renderer featuring state-of-the-art Unbiased, Biased and GPU engines.

What's new in this release:

Thea Render 2.2.954.1860 for SketchUp SketchUp 2019 specific:
- Fixed basic scene animation
- Fix for not working group/component Mask
- Fix for not working material selection from a list
- MAC - Fix for missing geometry smoothing
- MAC - Fix for issues with Batch Rendering when a scene transition was not turned off in a second Batch Render run resulting in wrong camera position
- Materials from SketchUp material library can be selected now from the list in Thea editor even in localized versions
General:
- Fixed Presto crash with Synthesis layering when a layer fails to convert
- Fixed area emitter cashing for Presto GPU when there are emitters in the same object on the same "level" in hierarchy
- Crash fix for CPU engines when there are present front+back area emitters and the Sun
- Potential crash fix for Presto OpenCL port when no OpenCL platform is installed
- Fix for inconsistency between CPU engines and Presto, when in a basic material there is reflectance setup with black color
- Fixed basic scene Animation rendering crash when a camera is parallel
- There is a potential fix for not getting rendered image from Presto when memory on Nvidia GPU was low
- Fixed layout resting to default when Tools or Settings panel has been emptied
- Thea Browser: Material import - when a different texture projection then UV is used, then Thea material texture size is set to 1.0x1.0m to prevent stretching the non-UV mapping in rendering
- When saving imgae/model a spinning wheel is shown now until the saving is finished
- License Wizard has been replaced by License Setup Dialog introducing new Lease and Educational license types. Existing Node-locked licenses work as usual - no need to change anything.
- Plugin license PDF updated with the new User License Agreement including terms for the new license types
Material Editor:
- Procedural color selection allows entering manual color values
- Texture Selector has no issue with dragging a bitmap (RV931 regression bug), but still allows a direct change of bitmap texture
- Texture Preview is updated when a procedural type is changed in a layered texture
- Texture Selector small preview is updated when a procedural color is modified
- Ensured that SketchUp Textures are saved correctly with localized file names
