The Simcenter development team is pleased to announce the availability of Simcenter Flovent 2021.1.0 is a powerful Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software that predicts 3D airflow, heat transfer, contamination distribution and comfort indices in and around buildings of all types and sizes.

New Features
The following new features are available in this release:
• Underlying technology in MCAD Bridge updated. This update will allow newer versions of CAD file to be imported. Supported files now include:
- CATIA V4 4.1.9 to 4.2.4
- CATIA V5 V5R8 to V5-6R2020
- IGES up to 5.3
- ACIS R1 to 2020 1.0
- Pro/E 16 to CREO 7.0
- SolidWorks 98 to 2020
- STEP AP203, AP214, AP242 (Geometry Only)
• Display Geometry in Analyze mode without expanding assemblies. A user preference has been added to allow a user to show all the geometry in the model without expanding the assemblies.
Problems Fixed in This Release
The list of problems fixed in Simcenter Flovent software 2021.1 release.
- dts0101428406 - isosurface has gaps at localized grid boundaries.
- dts0101426649 - Plane display issue
- dts0101416830 - The Temperature cutplane mid-width of the enclosure shows discontinuity at localized region edge.
- dts0101411840 - Interpolated plane plot is showed incorrectly
- dts0101409953 - Changing the units under Edit > Units does not change the annotation units
- dts0101211771 - Unable to create zoom-in project (E/4018)

What's new Simcenter 3D 2021.1
At the 2019 Siemens Media & Analyst Conference in New York, Siemens PLM Software announced that it is changing its name to Siemens Digital Industries Software. The company explains that the change reflects not only its position inside the core operating company, Siemens Digital Industries, but also its evolution from product lifecycle management (PLM) software to a broad provider of industrial software and services for digitalization.
