QSC-S Foundation New OS
PrimeSim HSPICE S-2021.09 release is based on SNPS QSC-S foundation. This supported OS is upgraded to RedHat/CentOS 7.3 as at least.
Enhancement: Support for Standalone License Mode and PrimeSim HSPICE Token-Based License Mode
Beginning with release R-2020.12-SP1, you could choose between using the PrimeSim HSPICE‌ tool in standalone license mode or PrimeSim HSPICE token-based license mode by setting the PRIMESIM environment variable (or -primesim command line option) to 0 for standalone license mode or 1 for token-based license mode. Standalone license mode is the default.
The S-2021.09 release adds support for a new setting, PRIMESIM 2, which enables both license modes (by default, standalone license keys are attempted first).
The S-2021.09 release also adds support for a new environment variable, PRIMESIM_ORDER 0|1, which determines whether standalone or token-based license keys are attempted first when PRIMESIM is set to 2. By default or if PRIMESIM_ORDER 0, standalone keys are attempted first. If PRIMESIM_ORDER 1, token-based license keys are attempted first.
Change: Moved Documentation
The PrimeSim HSPICE Commands Introduction had previously been documented in a chapter of the PrimeSim HSPICE Reference Manual: Commands and Control Options. As of this release, they are now documented in the PrimeSim HSPICE User Guide: Basic Simulation and Analysis, included in the PrimeSim online help.
The Parameters and Functions, Multi-Technology Simulation of 3D Integrated Circuit, and Library and Data Encryption had previously been documented in the chapters of the PrimeSim HSPICE User Guide: Basic Simulation and Analysis. As of this release, they are now documented in the PrimeSim Continuum Overview, included in the PrimeSim online help.

PrimeSim Continuum solution provides a unified workflow of next-generation simulation technologies to accelerate the design and signoff of hyper-converged designs. PrimeWave design enviroment, a newly architected design verification environment, is integrated with PrimeSim Continuum to deliver a seamless simulation experience around all PrimeSim Continuum simulation engines.

PrimeSim HSPICE is the industry’s “gold standard” for accurate circuit simulation and offers foundry-certified MOS device models with state-of-the-art simulation and analysis algorithms. With extensive usage in analog/RF/mixed-signal IC design, cell and memory characterization, and chip/package/ board/backplane signal integrity simulation, HSPICE is the industry’s most popular, trusted and comprehensive circuit simulator.

You can use it to simulate electrical circuits in steady-state, transient, and frequency domains. HSPICE is unequalled for fast, accurate circuit and behavioral simulation. It facilitates circuit-level analysis of performance and yield, by using Monte Carlo, worst-case, parametric sweep, and data-table sweep analyses, and employs the most reliable automatic-convergence capability.

The latest in Signal and Power Integrity with PrimeSim HSPICE | Synopsys

PrimeSim HSPICE is the industry’s reference for accurate circuit simulation. It offers foundry certified MOS device models with state-of-the-art simulation and analysis algorithms and has extensive usage in chip, package, board and backplane Signal Integrity (SI) simulations.
