Thunderhead Engineering Consultants, Inc. has announced the release of PyroSim 2023.1 (0524). This release provides stability and performance improvements which address issues discovered in the past release.
Stability and performance improvements included in 2023.1.0524
- Fixed a bug that would cause unparseable number errors in international versions
- Fixed a bug that could cause a crash when using high DPI monitors
- Fixed a bug that restricted certain characters from Scenario names
- Fixed a bug that could occur if the user entered an empty mass fraction in the lumped species editor
- Fixed a bug that could lock lumped species to using lumped_component_only, even if it was disabled
- Fixed a bug caused by pasting some types of General Surface records
- Fixed some broken http references

PyroSim was designed to complement the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS is the engine powering fire simulations all over the world. ) developed by NIST in the US. With state-of-the-art fire research facilities and personnel, they understand the calculations of fire simulation better than anyone. PyroSim provides graphical tools which automatically generate the text-only FDS input file, and also imports CAD and enables advanced simulation management, and packages its own results manager.
