Ireland RTE Radio 1 Drama on One.
Part 1 24th October 2010 (57:09 minutes)
Part 2 31st October 2010 (58:05 minutes)
Adapted for radio in two parts by Declan Hughes.
With its desolate Dartmoor setting and its dramatic ensemble of eccentric Victorian villains and
victims, The Hound of the Baskervilles is a High Gothic adventure from the great Sir Arthur Conan
Doyle; and it's entirely appropriate that the recasting for radio of this spectacular whodunit
from the Sherlock Holmes archive should be done by Declan Hughes, author of the internationally
successful Ed Loy detective series and a founder member of Ireland's leading theatre company Rough
Magic. Robert O'Mahoney plays the prince of all private investigators and Owen Roe (pictured) his
inseparable sidekick Dr Watson in this two-part adaptation of the tale. Producer Aidan Mathews.
