Marion Zimmer Bradleys Avalon Series ePub eBooks €6 buy download
Contains the following books in chronologically ordered epub files,
with kind of terrible summaries courtesy Amazon:

#1: The Fall of Atlantis (1987)
A wounded Atlantean prince washed up on a foreign shore becomes the focal point
in the epic conflict between the Priests of the White and Black Robes when the
full extent of his powers becomes known.

#2: Ancestors of Avalon (2004) (written principally by Diana L. Paxson)
Marion Zimmer Bradley's beloved Avalon saga continues with the dramatic story
of the ancestors of Avalon, from their life on the doomed island of Atlantis to
their escape to the mist-shrouded isle of Britain. Woven into this extraordinary
tale are the journeys of two powerful women whose destinies will shape the fate
of the new line of descendants.

#3: Sword of Avalon (2009) (written by Diana L. Paxson)
Long before the events of Bradley's epic Mists of Avalon, young Mikantor,
destined to be a king, is kidnapped from Avalon and sold into slavery. Mikantor
learns much of leadership after being bought by a blacksmith prince. Evil
sorcerer Galid is determined to dominate the land in the rightful ruler's absence,
but Anderle, the Lady of Avalon, holds him at bay. Anderle's daughter, Tirilan,
loves Mikantor, but believing him lost, she accepts the power.and celibacy.of
priestesshood.

#4: Ravens of Avalon (2007) (written by Diana L. Paxson)
In The Forest House, they introduced the Society of the Ravens, sons of the Druid
priestesses who were raped and tortured by Britain's Roman invaders. Now Paxson
explores the events circa A.D. 60 that inspired the mythical group's formation.
Strong women surge to the forefront, most notably Druid priestess Lhiannon and
her headstrong student and friend, Boudica, a Celtic princess who forgoes becoming
a priestess to marry Prasutagos, High King of the Iceni. The uneasy peace with
Rome shatters after Prasutagos dies, and Roman soldiers, refusing to recognize
Boudica as queen, beat her and rape her daughters. Vowing vengeance, Boudica raises
an army infused with the battle goddess's magical power and strikes back at the Romans.

#5: The Forest House (1993) (with Diana L. Paxson) (also now known as The Forests of
Avalon) Eilan, a Druid girl who has been raised in the cult of the Goddess with the
priestesses wielding the power, has fallen in love with a young Roman named Gaius. He
is a half-Briton whose mother was of the Druid tribes and whose father is a powerful
officer in the Roman legions. The clash between these two cultures and the eventual
hope of unification through Eilan and Gaius's son is one of the book's many story lines.

#6: Lady of Avalon (1997) (with Diana L Paxson)
This three-part fantasy, set in Roman-occupied Britain, creates the link between The
Forest House and The Mists of Avalon and should satisfy fans of both those books.
Spanning almost 400 years, it tells the stories of the high priestesses and ladies
of Avalon.

#7: Priestess of Avalon (2000) (with Diana L Paxson)
Though destined to achieve distinction as the pious mother of Constantine, the young
woman once called Eilen or Helena first served as a priestess of the old deities on
her native island of Briton. Returning to the alternate version of Arthurian legend
created in her best-selling Mists of Avalon, Bradley creates a powerful tale of magic
and faith that enlarges upon pagan and Christian traditions to express a deeper truth.

#8: The Mists of Avalon (1979)
The Mists of Avalon is a story of another time and place. It's the legendary saga of
King Arthur and his companions at Camelot, their battles, love, and devotion, told
this time from the perspective of the women involved. Viviane is "The Lady of the Lake,"
the magical priestess of the Isle of Avalon, a special mist-shrouded place which becomes
more difficult to reach as people turn away from its nature- and Goddess-oriented
religion. Viviane's quest is to find a king who will be loyal to Avalon as well as to
Christianity. This king will be Arthur. Gwenhwyfar, Arthur's Queen, is an overly pious,
fearful woman who successfully sways her husband into betraying his allegiance to Avalon.
Set against her is Morgaine of the Fairies, Arthur's sister, love, and enemy - and the
most powerfully believable person in the book - who manipulates the characters like
threads in a tapestry to achieve her tragic and heroic goals. The Mists of Avalon becomes
a legend seen through new eyes, with details, majestic language, and haunting foreshadowing
that hold the reader through its more than 800 pages.
