The book

The author

Jeremy Strong (born November 18, 1949) is a children's author. He has published 77
children's novels. After an eventful childhood Strong left school in 1968 and studied
English at York University. He held various vacation jobs, including the infamous
bakery where he put the jam in doughnuts. After university he became a junior school
teacher and also began his writing career. He left teaching in 1991 and has been
writing full time ever since. He visits schools and festivals world wide. His story,
THERE'S A VIKING IN MY BED was made into a BBC Children's TV series. A number of his
books have won awards.

The reader

Paul Chequer is an actor most famous for starring in the British drama As If as Jamie
Collier on Channel 4 from 2001 to 2004 and the BBC Three drama Sinchronicity, as Nathan,
in 2006. He has later appeared as Eugene Jones in the British science fiction television
series Torchwood in the episode Random Shoes, broadcast on 10 December 2006.
