Marion Kite and Roy Thomson, of the Leather Conservation Centre, produced
this authoritative and comprehensive about aspects of skin and leather
preservation of items from books and clothing to parchment and taxidermy.
Twenty-two chapters are written by different experts and a final chapter
presents case histories. While written for professional curators and
collectors, this would be a valuable additional to the bookshelf of
anthropologists, archeologists, and historians, too.
