The InEffects plug-in brings all the special effects
power of a dedicated illustration or image-editing
program directly to Adobe InDesign. With InEffects, you
can apply any combination of sophisticated effects such
as drop shadows, inner shadows, inner glows, outer
glows, bevels, and embossing to any InDesign page
object(s). You can save effects as reusable InEffects
styles, which can be updated at any time.

InEffects complements the built-in special effects of
InDesign, including transparencies, while maintaining
fully editable InDesign page objects. Unlike effects
created in image-editing or illustration programs, you
no longer need to switch programs and track image
files. You simply create the effects within InDesign
using InEffects, and then apply or modify them at any
time during the design, editing, or production
processes.

InEffects is compatible with both InDesign 2.x and
InDesign CS. InEffects also supports InDesigns own
built in effects and can be used in conjuction with
them to create truly special effects. Additionally,
InEffects is fully compatible with InDesign's print and
PDF capabilities including spot color separations.
