To remember and tell any information, it has to make emotional impact
on us, otherwise it is just undistinguished mass of facts -- Stalin's
statement "A Single Death is a Tragedy; a Million Deaths is a Statistic"
comes to mind (or are you appalled by the deaths of half a million
children in the Iraq during sanctions imposed by Washington in '90s,
more than by a single death, let's say of Lady Di, given the story that
was presented to you?).
Base of this book comes from empirical realm and as stories about how
to tell and not-to-tell story goes, thread of overarching theory emerges -
which is how it should be and it is fun and edifying to read (or listen to).
