Hess's flight to Britain in 1941 was one of the most bizarre and
intriguing episodes of the war. Here many of the myths are exploded,
and the development which led to the flight and Hess's approach to
the Duke of Hamilton are explored. New light is thrown on the
importance of Haushofer, envoy to Hitler and Ribbentrop an adviser
to Hess, and the fascinating story is placed in true historical
perspective.
