ActiveFactory is a full-featured suite of client applications that maximise the value of data stored in Wonderware's IndustrialSQL Server.
The suite allows for the dissemination of information across a network, intranet or Internet.
ActiveFactory provides trending analysis of data over time, easy numerical analysis of data using Microsoft Excel, comprehensive data reporting using Microsoft Word,
ad hoc access to plant floor historical and real-time information using the corporate networks.
ActiveFactory allows individuals, at all levels of an organisation, to easily access plant and process data through simple point-and-click dialogs.
At the touch of a button, they can generate sophisticated web-enabled analyses of the data,
create custom reports and share them with selected individuals equipped with only a browser. Users may simultaneously connect to as many
SQL data sources as required with complete security. These functions may be initiated manually, on-demand, on-condition, by time or event,
or fully automated using Microsoft or Wonderware scripting engines.
ActiveFactory integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Office, providing high-speed
SQL transactions between IndustrialSQL Server and Microsoft Word and Excel. As with MS Query Analyzer, MS Query
or other standard SQL query tool, a user may build and execute queries against other on-line SQL databases and take advantage
of the features available within ActiveFactory to format and present this data along side data extracted directly from IndustrialSQL Server.
ActiveFactory's capabilities may be further extended to other OLE DB data sources, such as spreadsheet files, CSV files, other databases, etc. utilising
MS SQL Server's linked server capabilities. Additionally, ActiveFactory allows history data to be inserted with any time stamp, existing data to be updated
and manual data to be entered.
