The MiTek WoodEngine timber frame detailing package has been enthusiastically received by the timber frame industry in the UK and Ireland since it's launch in 2005.The benefits for the timber frame designer are numerous. Rapid detailing tools are accompanied with rapid editing tools, enabling the timber frame panels to be edited in the plan view, model view or even at manufacturing drawing stage.

The ability to import the MiTek 20/20 designed roof trusses and Posi-Joists to model the complete building, or to detail i-joist or cut timber floors using WoodEngine's powerful flooring module is another key factor in the software's popularity.

Historically a "whole house manufacturer" has used different software solutions to design the roof, walls and floor components of the structure. The MiTek suite of software provides 3D integrated modelling of the whole building - as it will be assembled on site.
