With the release of version 10.2 the Oasys Suite provides the user with even more tools and functions to reduce the amount of time needed to build and check a LS-DYNA model, allowing the engineer to concentrate more on the actual problem in hand rather than just the task getting a model up and running in LS-DYNA.
This is the latest full release of the Oasys Suite (PRIMER, D3PLOT, T/HIS, REPORTER & SHELL). 10.2 is primarily a bug fix release of 10.0; details of the bugs fixed are given in the release notes: this
There are also a small number of enhancements, which are detailed in the release notes: PRIMER 10.1/10.2 seatbelt fitter has extra twist controls, option to prevent creasing, and improved avoidance of contact penetrations; D3PLOT 10.1/10.2 can read and display a wider range of movie codecs (formats) on all Windows and Linux platforms, and works faster with models compressed by FEMZIP, especially with multiple models.Also, the 10.2 package includes new scripts which add the following features:
PRIMER
Crash test setup script that helps you set up various crash tests according to different regulations. Features include:
- Barrier alignment.
- Contact definition.
- Boundary conditions (restraints, initial velocity and prescribed motion).
The script can be used to set up a crash test for the first time relatively quickly, with essential data being typed in by the user; because this input data is stored, the script is quicker to use thereafter.
- Script for calculating impact points for FMVSS201 (interior head impact).
REPORTER
Script to calculate percentage areas of HIC and HIC contour lines for pedestrian impact, based on multiple pedestrian headform impact analyses.
