In this series of tutorials, we will go through the process to transition from live action footage to a comic style drawing of a zombie. We start out by re-timing our footage to pause on the keyframes that we will use to create the zombie drawings. We then do a quick discussion over the process for doing some drawings of this style in Adobe's Illustrator, however the drawing process is not step-by-step because we want to focus on the After Effects processes. We then import the drawings into After Effects and begin animating our transitions. We go over creating custom alphas, animating with expressions, and much more to create this animation style. By the end of this course you will have created your own animated zombie transition and you'll have picked up some universal tips for creating transitions from live action to animation.
