In this series of After Effects tutorials, we will go through the process for animating this band poster and composite it into a live action plate.
We'll start out by going through the steps of building up our poster's composition to make it interesting and appealing. We then discuss the timing of our messaging, so that it has plenty of time to be read, while still holding the attention of our viewer. From that point, we move into the compositing phase of our course where we slowly begin to add effects to integrate the poster into our scene. We go over some simple motion tracking and rotoscoping techniques as well as some great tips for color correction.
1. Introduction and Project Overview
2. Stabilizing the footage
3. Setting up our composition for the poster
4. Adding the particles in the background
5. Adding the deer head to our animation
6. Animating the ring to house our message
7. Establishing the message
8. Adding the second half of our message
9. Adding the message comp to the rest of our poster
10. Bringing the poster into the live action plate
11. Using Motion Tracking to make our poster stick to our plate
12. Color correcting our poster
13. Adding age and shadows to our poster
