Luis Royo was born in 1954 in Kutande, near the city of Teruel (province of Aragon, Spain). He studied at the Industrial Art School and the School of Applied Arts in Zaragoza, where he learned technical drawing, painting, art, decoration and interior design. In 1970-1979 he worked in several design studios. Since 1978, Luis Royo began creating comics since 1981, began working with a number of publications, including "Comix International" and "Rambla", with "El Vibora" and "Heavy Metal". Since 1983, acts as an illustrator, working with the publisher "NORMA Editorial". He worked in the U.S., the UK, Sweden and other countries, creating book covers commissioned by publishers "Tor", "Berkley", "Avon", "Warner", "Bantam", "Ballantine", "Daw", "Doubleday" and many others.
In 1992 he published the book "Women"; among other albums artist - "Malefic" (1994), "Secrets" (1996), "III Millennium" (1998), "Dreams" (1999), "Evolution" (2000 ), "Prohibited Book" (1999) and "Prohibited Book II" (2000). Luis Royo's work can be seen not only on the covers of magazines and books, they appeared in the form of calendars, posters, were used for the decoration of CDs and T-shirts, issued in the form of sets of postcards.
