Focusing on the conclusions of research carried out during DECADE OF THE BRAIN (1990–2000), the book encompasses the latest clinical and experimental findings on how the central nervous system responds to injury caused by inflammation, vascular accidents, trauma, and degenerative disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke and head injury.
