In the Intermediate Series DVD, Richard builds on the alignment and internal skills taught in his Primary Series video. The Intermediate Series is a continuous, dynamic flow of nearly 70 postures which specifically give access to the central axis of the body. As the Primary Series is grounding, strengthening and calming, so the Intermediate Series is opening, exhilarating and awakening. Their combined effect is that the mind can enter meditation with both brilliance and calmness.
Level of difficulty: The exercises in this video are part of a progressive series. Students should have mastered the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga before attempting the Intermediate Series.
