Honorable Readers.
You hold in Your hand the final version on Swedish Colors and Uniforms from the Great North­ern War (Perhaps?) plus a little more.
We wish to extend our immeasurable and warm thanks to the persons and institutions that con­tributed to this accomplishment.
First, wc wish to thank I.t.Col Daniel F. Schorr, Maine, United States, who kindly has done the superb translation into English.
The Foreningcn Armemusei Vanncr who generously contributed financially from the research fund, and a special thanks to their President Colonel Rinar Lyth, who in every way encouraged and supported us during our work on this book.

For our foreign readers, who wish to penetrate the subject "Swedish Military Flags" more scru­tiny we will highly recommend the works mentioned in the sources, by colonels I-eif Thornquisr and Bertil Wenncrholm. Their articles from the 1970 - 80-ics, about Swedish Military Flags, were my great sources of inspiration before 1 dared to write myself. Their painstaking research, can never be overestimated. Their works include an exhaustive summary in English, so don't worry if You are ignorant of Swedish.
