The Good: This author can write. This is an engrossing, timely, James-Bond-on-paper-type novel. Our hero is having a really bad day, after he acquires some data that perhaps he shouldn't have. I enjoyed this enough that I was glad I had it on hand after I had a bad day, it's good escapism.
The Bad: Our main protagonist (and the basic premise) is a tale of stolen goods, essentially. This made it difficult to like the main character. I kept thinking, "Just give it back, and no one gets hurt."
The Ugly: Ultimately, the main character is just unlikeable enough that I didn't want to finish the book. I was kinda hoping he'd actually get in trouble.
