The therapeutic work of Dr. John Pierrakos is based on these principles:
1. The person is a psychosomatic unity. 2. The source of healing lies within the self, nnot with an outside agency, whether a physician, God, or the power of the cosmos.
3. All of existence forms a unity that moves toward creative evolution, both of the whole and of the countless components.
He developed his concept of CORE ENERGETIC Therapy, of power of the human center, by combining basic Reichian therapy with insigths of modern physics as well as his own physical, mental and spiritual experiences and the inspira-tional lectures delivered by Eva Pierrakos which evolved into the Pathwork.
In this book, the pulsation of life does not remain a philosophical structure.
Dr. Pierrakos clarifies for us what can be seen of human energy centers (chakras) and the various energy fields (auras). By relating the pulsation frequencies and colors of the fields of human beings, animals, plants and minerals he defines the state of health or dysfunction. Through his experience as a practicing psychiatrist, a body-therapist and his work in the laboratory, Dr. Pierrakos has developed a system for evaluating the state of the organism in terms of illness and health.
Dr. John Pierrakos co-founded the Institute of Bioenergetic Analysis with Dr. Alexander Lowen. He went on to establish, together with Dr. Dora Gomez Pierrakos, the Institute of Core Energetics whose purpose is to integrate the domains of body, mind and spirit and to develop the capacity to love and heal.
