The monograph is devoted to the relatively little studied period in the history of the Great Mongolian Empire associated with the activities of Haidu (~ 1236-1301), the grandson of the great Khan Ugedei. During the schism that followed the death of the great Khan Monke in the second half of the 13th century, Haidu became the leader of that part of the Chingizids - mostly the descendants of Chagatai and Ugadei, who did not want to recognize the transfer of power in the empire to the descendants of the younger son Genghis Khan Toluya and Khubilai's election to the great Khan. For several decades, Haidu was fighting against the Yuan of China in the east and Khulagid Iran in the west. The political association created by Haidu served as the basis for the finalization of independent state education in Central Asia, which, after the death of Haidu, was predominantly the descendants of Chagatai.
