Despite its significance, visual and cultural studies have paid little attention to
fashion photography as a media form. Fashion as Photograph brings together distinguished
contributors from the UK, North America, Australia and Europe, to examine the production
and consumption of fashion images from the points of view of industry and academia, the
museum, the auction house, and the art gallery. Chapters identify and discuss key issues
in recent fashion photography, examining its aesthetic, political, creative, and
commercial dimensions.
