This collection of articles by Edmund Fryde examines aspects Medieval economic
development, particularly English, during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
Sequenced by topical chronological order, the articles are reprinted in their
original form and reflect historiographical knowledge at the time of their
publication; only obvious errors have been corrected. This volume offers researchers
not fluent in French or Italian a wonderful opportunity since nearly half of these
essays first appeared in Belgian and Italian journals.
