1. Cyborg Arm
In this tutorial you learn how to use After Effects to turn you arm into a cyborg arm. We use MochaAE (which is included in After Effects) to track the motion and perspective distortion of the arm and then do the compositing in After Effects.
Things to learn in this After Effects tutorial:
-Learnin how to track the movement of the skin and the bone below it independently of each other.
-Learn why the first point makes your composite much more realistic.
-Learn how to change your prespective and work in a stabilized and undistorted precomp (a.k.a. inverse tracking).

2. Advanced Compositing
What makes such scenes usually very hard to composite is that there is a lot of heavy and shaky movement going on. But with MochaImport you are just one click away from the solution of all these problems...
Things to learn in this After Effects tutorial:
- Learn how to track a shot with a lot of motion blur on Mocha like a piece of cake.
- Learn how to use MochaImport script to change your perspective and get rid of all the nasty motion.
- Learn how to take care of motion blur.
- Learn how to composite some elements from the Action Essentials collection of Video Copilot.
3. Mocha Corner Pin - Part 1
This After Effects tutorial is inspired by an HP commercial. You learn how to do corner pin tracking with Mocha. Actually, a simple corner pin can be done in MochaImport with just one click. But you will also learn about more advanced stuff like adding motion blur in After Effects that makes your corner pin more realistic.
Things to learn:
- Learn how to do a quick corner pin track in Mocha and how to improve the track.
- Learn how to create a corner pin with motion blur in one click, if you have Red Giant Warp.
- Learn how to create a corner pin with motion blur just with After Effects and no additional plugin even if your version of Mocha (e.g. the one included in CS4) does not support motion blur.
4. Mocha Corner Pin - Part 2
In the second part of this After Effects tutorial, we are going to create the funny effect at the end of the clip. On the way you will learn some cool techniques:
- Learn how to do how to move masks in After Effects according to a Mocha Track with the Tracker2Mask script.
- Learn how to use the reshape effect to create the elastic wobble when the picture is detached from the background.
5.An Introduction To MochaImport
In this After Effects tutorial you learn about all the basic functions of the MochaImport script. With the script the following tasks can be done in After Effects as one click operations:
- create corner pin
- create CC power pin
- create After Effects trackpoints from Mocha track
- stabilize footage
- move layers according to track
- create a precomp in which the footage is stabilized while maintaining the movement in the original composition
6.Mocha Import - Advanced Features
This After Effects tutorial explains the very powerful workflow of the MochaImport script in combination with the planar tracker Mocha for After Effects (that is included in After Effects since version CS4) and the Red Giant Warp plugin. With the help of MochaImport you can simply change your perspective, i.e. you can work within a moving shot as if it would be perfectly locked off. If you don't have Red Giant Warp, you are lucky that the new version of MochaImport also supports this function without any additional After Effects Plugins. As an example without Red Giant Warp consider this tutorial. However, note that without Warp you cannot easily have motion blur.
7. KeyTweak
In this tutorial you learn how to use the mamoworld After Effects script KeyTweak to quickly modify any keyframed property. Just modify a few keyframes by hand and KeyTweak will automatically modify the keyframes in-between accordingly. While properties with hundrets of keyframes are usually a nightmare to edit in After Effects, this is easily possible with KeyTweak.
In particular you learn how to use KeyTweak to
- modify drifting tracks
- correct rotoscoping errors
- make non-uniform mask expansions
8. Tracker2Mask
In this tutorial you learn how to use the mamoworld After Effects script Tracker2Mask to assist you in your rotoscoping tasks.
Tracker2Mask computes the movement of maskshapes based on the movement oftrackpoints.It is easy and flexible to use, In particular you don`t need one trackpoint for each maskpoint. In the tutorial I show how to rotoscope the shape of a moving car in After Effects based on only four trackpoint, for simpler shapes often one trackpoint is sufficient.
9. Tracker2Mask II - Advanced Features
In this After Effects tutorial you learn about some advanced features of the After Effects script Tracker2Mask that allow local modifications of masks. As an example, we focus on how to animate speech bubbles. In general this technique is useful if you only want to move only certain poinits of a mask instead of entire masks.
