Intergraph has released CADWorx 2014 with enhancements and new features for this popular AutoCAD-based intelligent 3D design and modeling software, including dynamic pipe supports that allow pipe size changes while automatically maintaining pipe and steel association; pipe conversion capabilities that allow you to convert a pipe from a tee to a cross without having to redraw components; an improved center of gravity capability that completes the calculations within one dialog box for all components, eliminating the need to combine these manually; the addition of OrthoGen capability for automatically generating orthographic drawings from CADWorx models; and a new capability that automatically adds the tap connection when you add and route branches from the side of a reducer. Additional enhancements for editing specifications include dynamic pipe for importing and adding new pipe supports to a specification; a new capability for the import and export of description formats between specifications that eliminates having to recreate them; and a new feature for importing SmartPlant reference data specifications for dawing your components in CADWorx, making it easier to quickly import data and begin drawing.
