Auch wenn dieses Buch schon ein betagtes Alter erreicht hat, die Photos aus der Höhle sind zeitlos, nach menschlichen Maßstäben. Die Aufnahmen der Umgebung haben eher historischen Wert aus der Frühzeit des Tourismus. Alle Photos, die z.T. auch über 2 Seiten gehen haben eine ausführliche Beschreibung. Außerdem erfährt man vieles über die Entstehung dieser eindrucksvollen Höhle, die Geologie der Landschaft und über den Karst, ein Gestein, der diese Landschaft in vieler Hinsicht prägt und auch für die relative Trockenheit verantwortlich ist.
Das Buch zerfällt in 2 Teile, einen sparsam bebilderten Teil 1, in dem man alles Wissenswerte erfährt und einen Bildteil mit knapp 100 ganzseitigen Fotos.

Even if this book is quite old, the photos of the cave are timeless. This is the difference, all Photos of the surroundings are only interesting from a historical point of view. All Photos, some of them over 2 pages, has a detailed description. Furthermore you'll read a lot of information about the forming of this cave, about the geology and how the geology formed this specific landscape, known as Karst.
The book cosnists of 2 parts, part 1 has only a few pictures and tells all basic informations. The second part shows nearly 100 Photos, some over 2 pages.
