ver wanted to know how the Pro's do it? You want to master the use of Math and Expressions within XSI?Want to stunn your boss with your technical abilities? If your answer is YES, then Interactive Vehicle Rigging is for you. Interactive Vehicle Rig is a video training kit for Softimage XSI that explains in full detail the process of creating interactive vehicle simulations using XSI's dynamics system. It's very much like building a car game control system within XSI.
This is a legacy title and the methods shown might not apply to the latest version of Softimage.
Interactive Vehicle Rig is a self-paced video training kit that explains the use of the Softimage XSI dynamics system to create a full car rig, which can be easily adapted to any car mesh the user wants to use.
The features of the rig are the following:1. Drive the car with a Gas slider (Interactive) 2. Steer the car with a Steer slider (Interactive) 3. Breaks slider to stop the car at any time with variable strength (Interactive) 4. Physical momentum feature to make the car react to a sudden stop by naturally leaning forward (Interactive) 5. Physical suspensions that react to driving the car on uneven terrain (Interactive) 6. Natural car motion over uneven terrain. It's very similar to driving a car in a car racing game!
