Using real-world production examples, Jeff will guide you through this complex program and unpack the tools and terminology so that you can apply your skills right away and with confidence.

BIO:

Jeff Foster is a published author of several computer technology, animation and video production VFX books. He has been an Adobe Certified Expert and has served as an instructor and featured speaker at conferences such as Photoshop World, Macworld, Adobe MAX and the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Post-Production Conferences.

Foster has been producing and providing training for traditional and digital images, photography, illustration, motion graphics and special effects for DV and Film for over 20 years. Some of his clients include: Tribune Broadcasting, Motorola, McDonnell Douglas, Nestlé, FOX Television, Spike TV, Discovery/TLC, Deluxe Digital, Universal Studios, Lions Gate Films and Disney. He is also a 2010 Telly Awards recipient for his “Documercial” video productions.

He’s been published internationally through Pearson, Sybex & Wiley and several trade magazine and hosted online ezines and regularly contributes in the ProVideo Coalition. He is the author of “The Green Screen Handbook” (Sybex/Wiley, pub) to serve as a texbook for green screen production and compositing techniques. Pro photographers, Indie filmmakers and hobbyists will find this book a valuable tool for getting the best results from their compositing projects.

In addition to the many post-production projects he does for the feature film industry, he also operates a media production company, Sound Visions Media provides quality HD video production from an experienced team of industry professionals. Sound Visions Media specializes in producing promotional videos for businesses, artists, musicians and entrepreneurs who have a compelling story to tell – from commercials to feature-length documentaries. They’ve branded the concept of their award-winning “Documercial” as a method of storytelling in a documentary style approach to deliver a marketing message for their clients.
